Calvin is 5!

It doesn't get any sweeter than a five year old. And this one is extra sweet and thoughtful!

Calvin is creative (already published!) and full of ideas. He wants to earn money to buy a house on wheels to live in when he grows up. He tells me he would like to work for Lego (just like Jack). Calvin shares my love of having things organized (which is a steep uphill battle these days!!)  He melts my heart when he "organizes" his desk. And the theme of organization is usually incorporated into his play... he organizes performances, a kitchen, an art studio, a library, a shoe store, a dojo... the list goes on.

This sweet boy loves to cuddle and be held tight. He is a peacemaker and a bit of a drama king, but always thoughtful and ready to lend a hand. He adores his sister and involves her in almost all of his play. He is also apparently a bit of a social butterfly. We were slightly shocked when his teacher informed us her only trouble with Calvin is his chattiness with his friends. He has formed some good buddies this PreK year - they even coordinated their Halloween costumes, and they often try to coordinate which superhero undies they will wear to school on a particular day. Ha!

Birthday Morning! Calvin wanted to have a "Ninja Party." He is still very interested in his martial arts practice. We started his birthday day with a present - a trampoline! This might be one of our best investments - hours of kid energy burning.

Party Time! Calvin had all of his cousins and family over to celebrate. His ninja party involved obstacles courses, a pinata, and a few lively games of dodge ball. Happy 5th Birthday Calvin!
