We found our yesterday that we are having a little baby girl! What a blessing. We are all very excited.
Here is our fun ultrasound story:
As we begin our appointment in the ultrasound room, Jack crawls up on the table with me to watch. Soon after the lady starts, she leans over and says to Jack, "Hey Jack, I'm going to whisper a secret to you." We soon decided that secret keeping must be a favorite games among four-year olds because he refused to give it up! Seriously, no other sibling has ever left the office and not told the secret, until Jack. A little worried he wouldn't share, she gave him an envelope with the secret inside. Jack told us we could know when the baby is born. We even offered bribes and he said no. Only our Jack!
Thank goodness for see-through envelopes! He refused to share with Calvin and his grandparents when we got home, and he even told Scott's parents that the baby was a boy! Pretty funny looking back on it! He finally opened it with his friend next door about an hour and a half after we got home from the appointment.
My due date was moved up to 9/6/11. Apparently the baby is measuring large (97th percentile) so given my track record, we are preparing for a late August arrival of our sweet little girl.
