21 Months

Jack you love to sing. You literally start and end your day in song with lots of tunes belted out in between all day long. You have expanded your repertoire of songs and can sing, "Old MacDonald," and "Isty Bisty Spider." But you still love your old favorites, "ABCs," and "Twinkle Twinkle." You have learned to count to 10. And your vocabulary is amazing as you put 3 and 4 words together. We tremendously enjoy conversation with you. You can identify A-F in the alphabet and a few other random letters like J, M, and P. You are generally slow to warm up to new situations and people, but you have developed an increasing sense of confidence and are braving the world more and more without Mommy and Daddy holding your hand. We took our first trip to the library and you loved it. Your favorite book (and song) this week are "Mockingbird." You are still using your potty every day at least once and have only missed a couple of days in the past few weeks. I still think you mostly like to use it as an excuse to get out of going to bed - peeing in the potty gets you a few extra minutes before lights out. You love to finger paint and ask to do it nearly every day. You are infatuated with cardinal birds, and of course you still love your blanket and "papa" man.
