April Showers bring ...

a healthy growth spurt for Jack! We are curious to have him weighed in two weeks at his 4 month check up - he has got to be at least 17 or more pounds. Jack's latest favorite activity is exploring his hands with his mouth, or is it exploring his mouth with his hands?? He can't get enough of them or the interesting noises they make. He shoves his entire fist in his mouth sometimes and gags himself - he occasionally looks at us like we had something to do with it. And he would love to put toys in his mouth too, but figuring out how to make them fit is way more difficult than his hands.
He LOVES bath time, and has learned how to kick his legs to make the water splash (all over him and Mommy!).

Rolling over is not so cool anymore. He does that old trick only a couple of times a day. I think he finally wised up that it is not smart to roll onto your tummy if you can't roll back. Actually he has figured out how to only roll halfway and then back onto his back.

Jack is really holding his head up well and he is enjoying sitting up more and more. He has decided his carrier seat is not so bad after all (just in time to grow out of it!) and that his swing can be fun too.

Jack's first Easter was full of family events. He sat on the Easter bunny's lap at Easter brunch (despite his father's fears that the Easter bunny would not know how to hold a baby!), and spent the day with his grandparents and family (looking mighty handsome in his Easter outfit of course!).

Jack has finally decided that taking a bottle is not the end of the world, although still not his preferred way of eating. But at least we know he will not starve when I go back to work on Monday.
